Meet Your Lactation Team
Your Dream Team
Jennifer Bergman, BS, IBCLC, CD, PMH-C

Hi, my name is Jennifer Bergman. I was born in New Jersey and moved south as a child growing up mostly in Georgia. I have been married to a wonderful man for the last 16 years who has always been supportive of all of my dreams. I am a mother of three children 25, 16 and 10 who all had very different breastfeeding journeys. I was a teen mom who really wanted to breastfeed but due to a lack of both knowledge and support I struggled to make that a reality with my oldest son. By the time I had my daughter 9 years later, I had read a ton of books about pregnancy, birth and more specifically breastfeeding. Armed with much more knowledge than previously and the support of my husband I successfully breastfed her for a year. It wasn’t until I had my youngest child that I realized the field of lactation support is where I should be working in as a career. He is now 10 and together we had an amazing breastfeeding relationship for two and a half years.

I earned my Bachelor Degree in 2016 and had always intended to go into a field that involved helping people and families but ultimately thought it would be psychology that I ended up in. After applying for a Breastfeeding Peer Counselor position at my local WIC office and being given a chance to help counsel mothers about the many benefits of breastfeeding, I realized this is what I was destined to do. That position allowed me to become a Certified Lactation Counselor and begin helping mothers both in and out of WIC reach any breastfeeding goals. I became an IBCLC in 2018 and have had the opportunity to work in both private practice, hospital setting and virtually. In 2024 I became a Certified Birth and Post Partum Doula and got my certification in Perinatal Mental health allowing me to be a well rounded asset to the families I serve.

I love that all of this has brought me to a point where I can do what I love by helping people combined with something I am so passionate about. I look forward to helping you achieve your lactation and mental health goals, whatever they may be.
Natasha Jovin, BA, IBCLC

I was born and raised in Kansas City where I received my degree in Psychology in 2005. I moved to the Golden Isles in 2009 after living in Haiti working at an infant care center for 1 year. I began volunteering in Haiti in 2002 and worked on and off until living there in 2008. During that time I fell in love with empowering and supporting families, but especially women. I have experience helping babies that are medically fragile and high risk in a setting with low resources. Seeing mothers sacrifice more than imaginable to do what is best for their babies due to the lack of resources will forever impact me. Women are strong and capable and deserve support in every way possible.
After moving to Georgia I worked with women who were being sexually exploited and children in the system. My passion for women empowerment and mental health has grown with each experience. I came into the idea of a career in lactation after the journey I took with my daughter, now 8 years old. Our anatomy did not line up, we had a difficult time with many issues until she was around 5-6 months old. However, we breastfed until she was over 2 years old. I know what it is like being a single mom and the challenges that it takes to stay committed to breastfeeding. I became a Board Certified Lactation Consultant fall of 2023 and I am honored every chance I get to walk alongside a mama, her baby and family. It is a sacred time that comes with many challenges and excitement. I hope I get the chance to help you and your family.
